Eva looked up and saw the sand almost running out in her hourglass. ‘It’s time,’ she said to herself. Carrying the potion, she hurried up the stairs out of the dungeon.
She went back to her room and walked to the curtain beside her desk. She pulled on a tassel with an anxious heart. With a swoosh, the curtain rose up, revealing a huge mirror. It had a fancy golden frame with ornaments. Eva took out a cloth and did her daily job – dabbing it into the spakling liquid and wiping on the surface of the mirror as quickly as she could.
